another piece from my art journal/notebook. it’s multiple layers of paint on multimedia paper with the heads made out of book and sketch paper.

the shape of the head was gotten from a stock photo web site and then i edited the hell out of it. also the book i got the text from is seriously old (spine broken and all that) so i assure you all i was not wasting a perfectly good book.

This is something i did in my art journal/notebook a while ago. It’s pen and paint done on multi-media paper. the suit itself was a stencil i got online and cut out.

i’ve been art journaling since school ended. it’s not something i’m taking seriously necessarily but i am enjoying it. anyways this is a piece i just finished.

side note: the spaceman picture was taken from a magazine but everything else is 100% original

So the top piece was the one I did and the bottom piece was the one that inspired it.  My niece loves the ninja turtles and Mikey is her favorite one so I went to work on a small scale picture for here. The brick background is painted on just because I figured it would add some contrast to the piece. I decided to experiment with a multicolored background.  This is the result.

One of the assignments for my 3-D design class is a pop up book based on a haiku.  I’m not sure if you know this but pop up books aren’t easy to make but I pulled through and got an A.  I used a couple of different mediums including actual paint, drawing (with sharpie felt tip pens), and photoshop.  oh and a printer of course.  So I’m now a published author and a publisher.  My one and only customer (my niece) is happy with the results.
If you want some pointers for making your own pop up book just send me a message.

This semester I’m taking a billion art classes and as a result I need something to carry my stuff in. I wanted a tool box or something equally cool but my mom found this at a thrift store for 2 bucks so I figured why not just use it. It was originally for perming supplies and was that shade of blue all over.  So i painted most of it red and stuck on a bunch of homemade stickers. I ran out of ideas so if anyone has any or wants to know how to make the stickers hit me up. This semester I’m taking a billion art classes and as a result I need something to carry my stuff in. My sister is a bit odd. She romanticizes hooters because she went there once with her baby daddy when they first met. Which is why she wanted an 18 by 24 inch picture of the logo. So here it is.
